Trip to Boston + Photography

Hello, how are you?

I had a great weekend (a very exhausting one, at that). I went on a field trip to Boston, and it was tons of fun. I’m usually not a city girl, but Boston has a special place in my heart because I was born there, and lived there for almost a year when I was a baby!

My father went to Harvard for graduate school, so it was really cool to see all the Harvard buildings. I’ve been to Boston more times than I can count, and I just love it. There’s something about the city that has such a vibrant, intelligent energy to it.

If you are reading this from the WordPress Reader, please please please with a thousand cherries on top, view this post from the web. I assure you the photos will look 1000 times better, and will be much higher quality. Thank you!

It was a cloudy day and raining like crazy, so the photos turned out pretty dark! I took way too many pictures and spent a while sorting through all of them.

I stumbled across these succulents in front of the florist’s shop and just had to snap some pictures. Unfortunately I didn’t buy any, but they made for great pictures.

We walked past Lush and I was begging to go in, but we didn’t have time! Maybe that’s a good thing, because I would have spent a ton of money if we ended up going in there.

This picture is completely blurry, and I apologize for that, but I had to take a picture of the new Midnight Mint Mocha frappucciono. This frap seriously tastes like a thin mint, it’s heavenly. Have you tried it yet?

Yup, another picture with the half-empty frap.

All in all, the trip was so much fun. If you think this is the end of the post, though, you’re wrong! Cue the evil laughter, because I have even more pictures for y’all to look at. The next day (Sunday), my family went to a historical event at an old mansion. It was pouring, and I got soaked to the bone, but I did get some fantastic photos so it was a win-win.

Well, well, well, there you have it. A ton of photos, a ton of fun, and a ton of memories! Thank you for reading and surviving this long post.

What did you do this weekend?

    1. You should totally put it on your bucket list, there are so many fun things to do there! NYC is one of the popular cities in America but I really think Boston should be on more bucket lists!

    1. Thank you so much! Haha, I don’t actually travel very much…the only other place that I’ve been outside of the USA is Canada, and I haven’t been to very many states. I hope I can travel more in the future though! And I’m sorry to hear that, hope you feel better. 🙂

  3. I am so jealous! I’d do anything (<<don't take this literally) to go to Boston! Or Philadelphia or … any place like that which has been around forever. As for visiting Harvard? It'd be a dream come true! I've read and written so many books set in Boston and Harvard!

      1. FINALLY. Everyone is always like NYC NYC NYC NYC but upstate New York is filled to the brim with culture and forests and flowers…it’s gorgeous and really peaceful. If you ever get a chance to come to New York, be sure to come in Autumn, the leaves are gorgeous and there’s so much to do!

  6. Great photos! I seriously love the rebranding of your blog. I’m still working on my own, I honestly want to buy a Pipdig theme but then I have to go self-hosted and that’s kind of a lot of money! I’m not wild about my pinks and stuff, I’d rather go more neutral, but I have no idea what to do! I typically get inspo from others but I’m not about copying anyone. Anyway, great post!

    1. Thank you so so much! It is a lot of money, I totally see where you’re coming from! Honestly, my advice is to go with your gut and heart 100%. I’ve changed my blog so so so much and I think people are getting tired of it, but every time I redo my blog, it looks better and better, and that’s a good thing. So, go with your gut and change anything that you don’t like! Change is good! I love getting inspiration from others as well, I just find a few things on a blog, like a color palette or style or something that I really like, and I come up with ways to make mine more personalized and suited for me. Best of luck to you!! No matter what I love reading your blog!

    1. No problem haha! I use a Canon Rebel. It’s actually quite a few years old but still works amazingly! I have a post on how I take and edit my blog pictures that I posted recently if you want more in-depth information. 😊
