Hello Freckled Fashionistas! I’m sitting on my back porch right now in a sundress soaking in the nice breeze and fresh air.
My sewing room used to be in my bedroom until my mother suprised me with a separate space for me to sew. Today I’m going to give you a tour.
First are my framed vintage sewing patterns over my vintage table and machine and sewing box. (I just realized after taking the pictures that one of them is crooked.)
I had 2 yards of this beautiful fabric and I ended up using it to make a couple throw pillows and pillowcases. It may not have been the best thing I could do with it, but I’m pleased with the outcome.
You might recognize this dress from last year.
This basket is just for extra fabric and bits and bobs.
This fabric shelf is pretty much just filled with children prints (I’m working on a child collection, but more on that later), because I keep my clothing fabric in a seperate container in my room.
Sneak peak on a vest I’m working on!
How’s your sewing room (if you have one)? Let me know in the comments! Happy Sewing!
I’m looking for a dress form/ mannequin, do you like yours? Love your seeing room!

I love my mannequin, it’s super useful! I bought it on Amazon . If you’re shopping for one, try to find one that you can stick pins into, it’s something that’s useful.
I’m glad you like my sewing room!

I love the concept of all your sewing projects in one room. It keeps ideas and scraps all together and organized. What do you use as a table to do your cutting? Maybe a fold down shelf or temporary board would expand your cutting and layout surface. Aunt Cindy

Sometimes I use the green table as a cutting surface, but I like our dining room table and also my Queen bed as cutting surfaces, just because they’re so big. A fold down table would be nice, though, I’ll have to look into it. Thank you for commenting!

Thank you so so much, I’m glad everybody likes it! Honestly, my sewing room could just be a table and chair, and I would be completly fine…I certainly don’t need a fancy schmancy sewing room (mine isn’t fancy schmancy anyway), but I’m glad I have a space to myself.

What a lovely room and so organised. Great idea to show off your vintage sewing patterns on your walls. The wip looks intriguing and I love yellow gingham.

I still consider myself lucky to have a dedicated space for sewing (you can check it out on my blog) – how lovely for your mum to surprise you with your own room!

Yes, my sewing room now is much better than the small desk I used in my bedroom. I’ll have to go check out yours!
